    hi julie

thanks for reply, i was on 50mg for 10 days and felt the same as i did now so doc put me upto 100mg with very slight improvement of going to the local shop and back, just feel like an alien,

    Did doc give you alternative?

i used to take citalopram and they worked really well for my anxiety &depression, but weight gain and consantly craving for sweet things.

i came off them because i felt i didnt need them anymore,

i could drop back to 50mg,perhaps i wasnt on 50mg for long? my parents cant believe how its affected me.

did you benefit at all with the 50mg?

    thanks julie xx

I was on setraline but felt so ill I stopped after 4  days. Ihave anxiety snd panic attacks and I am now on 90mg propranolol a day

Must say I feel better after 2 months I am seeing a councillor and I do listen to relaxation tapes.

May be worth talking to your doctor again

      Hi Julie

I also suffered severe anxiety (soooo much better now) . I had propanol and they helped a little, but not great! I also had diazepam for when I was really bad (no longer than 2/3 weeks at a time). They allowed me to get over particularly bad attacks. I used HYDROXYZINE tablets (antihistamine) and they worked fab - although do knock you out by tea time. Your sertraline will kick in and you will find relief- it's just finding the right dose for you x also- cut out all caffeine as this also made my anxiety sky high x
