Oh bless you Hun. Thankfully I've never had such a long stretch of insomnia. You must be absolutely shattered. I have no helpful advice, but I'm thinking of you. Don't suppose that helps at all! x

You have my sympathy. I go to bed every night knowing that I won't be able to sleep.I finally fall asleep at about 1.15 then wake at 2.15 if i'm lucky I get another hour or so before getting up for work at 5.00 this has been my pattern for months now by today i'm so shattered its unbelievable. GP no help just says it is what it is! Still have a full time job but not sure how much longer I can cope what with the constant pain in all parts of body but we have to go on as best we can. I am 54 and was finally diagnosed a couple of years ago but it still seems to be an illness that isnt taken seriously by health professionals. Hope you get some sleep!

i will but its normaly thru bouts of fatigue and im asleep all day then.

they dont take anything seriously .but lack of sleep is serious its hard to function with out proper rest . and it takes it toll on the body.

when i can be bothered i do a sleep hypnoses cd which really works but i cant do it in bed because i cant sleep on my back [headphones] so i end up asleep in my chair .which isent the same .

might be worth a try for you though [ mind iv just had an idea you can buy pillows with small speaker inside you can  plug in your phone and listen to your sleep cd . of course you have to transfer it from cd to phone first. i use one called rest and sleep which is very good ,

Hi Tiswas, I so sympathise with you, I too have trouble sleeping; no problem getting off to sleep but can be awake for hours especially if disturbed. Last night was a prime example. My son (25) has been working on his cars. He came into my room at 11.30 to tell me he'd swapped his car engines over and was now sorting out his tax and insurance! Consequently I couldn't get back to sleep until about 3am and up at 6.30 for work! Aaaahh! Arrived at work at 8am only to find out they didn't need me. At least I can rest today. I think I'll put the fire on, it's looking a bit miserable outside.

Amen to that one......but anything that we have to work hard for is sweet..:-) xx

It's also a viscous circle for us as level 4 deep sleep is necessary for muscle repair. That is why our muscles tire so easily and ache so much.
