Recently went to the doctors who told me to come off them and started me on pregrablin 25mg twice a day. I should have tapered off the amitriptyline but just stopped and started the others felt terrible for 2 days headache neck ache and really bad stomach ache. Day 5 feel much better but left with this stomach pain nothing seems to ease it. Has anyone else had this or could it be the pregrablin? Any help be much aprecated I also take codiene for my back but this doesn't ease the stomach ache due to go to Mexico in 2 weeks so bit concerned thankyou Sean x

I tried Amitriptyline 10mg and pregrablin (Lyrica) 75mg for backpain caused by anxiety. Amitriptyline works well with no side effects. Pregrablin cause serious drowsiness and facial rash. It totally blocked me from the outside world. I wonder how such a deadly medicine could pass the fda drug approval.

Hi amitriptyline withdrawal is ghastly but pregabalin in my opinion should be banned unless you are terminally I'll.  my daughter was on it for a few months following a car accident and she had terrible withdrawal and was told it's like coming off heroin!  Amitriptyline isn't easy but a lot better.  Try Bowen therapy, hypnosis, exercise almost anything rather than those drugs.  Loads of homework required I have learned before taking anything!  Good luck
