Hi fellow hippies .
I am 5 months post right hip and feeling great for about 5 days a week lots of energy and life is great.
However every week for a day or two I feel like my batteries have been taken out ...tired and giddy ?
Has anyone else felt like this?
Thanks Julie 🍸

I had many good days then energy level would hit the floor. I realized that I needed to rest to recharge my batteries. Sometimes a few hours sometime a day or two. It's our bodies agjusting to recoving from the surgery. It takes a lot of energy for heeling and once we heel we hippies naturally over do or expect to too much once we on on that ride past the pain and our energy returns.
It tough to slow down it important to eat well and I found my best source of energy & feeling well were proien shakes eat goods foods and naps .
congratulations!!! on all the hard work you have done to get thru this THR surgery. For 5 months post OP YOUR a great example for the rest of summer!

your post made me smile - I know all about this and I am many moons post-op from 2 THR surgeries ...
your body is still healing and it will take time -
Not only from inflicted damages but also your bone (hip and femur), a living tissue, continues to re-model and adapt around the metal implants.
This takes energy = Our body is a wonderland .... she lets you know when she needs time off to do the healing ...
just surrender and relax -
big warm hug

Hi Julie just coming into my 4 th month pre op.
your quiet right, things seem to be good for a few days, then I suddenly feel very old ' because I seem to walk and move like an old lady'
and rather down in the mouth.
Being on this forum really helps as people that have not had this op are unable to understand how one feels.
There should be a meeting place for post op patients to workout together
and swap concerns.
I think many of us are feeling the same as you.
I had my op in Kingsmill Hospital Nottinghamshire. Marvellous care.
👯???
