Maybe unconnected with your hip so I would see how it goes after a night's sleep and if it isn't feeling better then I would contact your GP.

I am sorry, i do not have an answer for you, a question. When did you know you needed a revision, my consultant says I do not want one, my leg say it hurts often when walking like a hot poker until i can no longer stand the pain.

8 months ago, I started having pain sleeping on my THR left side.I had pain on walking and flashes of pain down my thigh. I was put on naproxin. I then had pain whichever side I slept on. An xray showed the stem was loose at the top and the bone around it was a different colour. When I had the revision on 27th May, the cup just fell out, so the whole top of the replacement had been moving. Hope this helps. Suggest an xray to your GP.

Ahh I see. Mine are supposed to be micromovements causing the pain and radiating outward. I think I am going to have to fight for this one to be fixed. sad

I'm i guess a veteran THR with 3 so far on  2 on 1 hip and 1 on the other.

they are all different especially revisions are bruta.  I have anothe one coming up due to manufacture designMOM.. I AM NOT AT ALL LOOKING FOREWORD EVEN THOUGH EVERY DAY IS EXTREMELY PAINFUL.

Oop for got to take my caps off not yelling.s any way I really sympathize with all u have been three. Stay strong.

sometime these things can rob us of our spirit with so much pain.. Not to mention Rob us of a life. I have been in need for almost a year .. Not having a life at all.

Stay strong... Healing prayers sent UR way.

Put a small pillow under the back of your ankle to relieve the pressure on your heel when lying in bed. See if that helps. It happens to a lot of us if we're not up and about very soon after surgery.  I had other factors that kept me down for a while so mine started bothering me.  I use a neck roll pillow and it's perfect.  It's just behind my achillis tendon and just high enough to relieve the pressure but not disturb the rest of my leg.

    Good luck!
