I did not have an x-ray at my six week check up. One of the surgeons team saw me. Asked how it was, then said walk up and down the (small) office, asked me to balance on operated leg (I wobbled), looked at the scar that was it. Next appointment a year after op.

I guess it depends on the Doc, but I am due for my 6 week check up next week, and they told me they will then take an x ray to see how things are coming along, so for some it's standard procedure and for others not.

It seems to very. My surgeon said it wasn't standard but let me have an x-ray as I was a bit worried about a clunking noise. All was fine. It was just muscles sorting themselves out around the new joint and, at 9 weeks post op, it's gone. I hope all is well with you.
