Hi all.
So I've been taking 20mg flu for nearly 7 weeks, I can say that I've mostly got past the awful side effects but I'm get the odd day off nausea. I've also been getting painful ears since taking this medicine, has anyone else experienced this?
Thanks

What do you mean by "painful ears"? Like earaches, or like the cartiledge of your ears hurt?

It's funny you should mention that, because I have had problems with ear pain for years - mostly when I'm trying to sleep, and my ears star to hurt. I thought my pillow was too hard, so I've been trying different pillows and sleeping positions. Then I thought it was just an age thing - like everything else, our ears become more sensistive/fragile with age. Sorry, this isn't really addressing your question and making a direct connection to taking Flu, but perhaps there is a connection. It's certainly strange - I have never mentioned this to anyone before.

I'very been on 20mg of flouextine since June this year and although most of my side effects are gone I still feel nausea about 2 hrs after taking, although it passes after an hour or so. I still get fatigued / letheragy and bleeding gums but considering I had around 15 seperate side effects when I first started taking it I can't complain at leaSt I don't have terrible anxiety and panic attacks.
Flouextine along with ocd / anxiety and depression can make you grind your teeth when asleep which in turn will cause ear / jaw and face painting. Try not to worry it sounds normal for flouextine takers
Take care

To add to everyones comments ..... another side effect some people get is tinnitis, so if it can affect your ears like that then it possibly could cause painful / sensitive ears?
Also get your ears checked for wax - you can't see it but it lies deep inside the ear near the drum. You'll be surprised how many people don't realise they have a problem with it ... laying your head down on a pillow at night could make it move causing pain. You'll be surprised how much pain / discomfort it can cause too.
K xx
