9 weeks on fluoxetine

Posted , 6 users are following.

Just started on week 9, have had some good days but anxiety still rears it's ugly head at some point. Still experiencing racing heart and dizziness, then the mind starts working overtime. Saw my Gp on Wednesday, he hasn't suggested upping the dose, said after 8 weeks there should be some improvement but everyones different. Also having CBT, therapist advised i push myself to do things out of my comfort zone and see how i deal with them. I have and although anxious i was ok . Back to work last week with lots of support from my employer, and i think it's done me good. Know there's still a long way to go, but all your lovely positive posts give me hope, so thank you 😘Xx

Hi, I am on week 10. Same as you still experiencing some panic and dizziness with an underlying anxiety but on the whole I think I am turning a corner. I am on waiting list for cbt but doing some reading about it while I wait. Never thought it would take this long to start to feel better but thankfully I do. I think we need to expect the odd bad day xx good luck

Hi Caz, it helps to know we're not struggling alone. Hope you don't have to wait too long for CBT, i definitely think it's doing me good although i was a little sceptical at first. Good luck , hope things continue to improve for us. Xx
