HRT, when your body synthesizes it, it helps to reduce all your symptoms. When it doesn't work symptoms it either does nothing to decrease symptoms or it can increase them. I saw many women do well on it, but when I tried it, it slightly increased my hot flashes. I was taken off of it, an put on a low dose bcp which was my saving grace.

    Hi Anetta

Although i was on the biodentical oral progesterone and at first it seem to work for my anxiety but reversed on me. I started taking it on July , started having problems with it in the beginning but was told my body had to adjust to it. Eventually, i started noticing a difference in my anxiety, it pretty much left and i was much calmer...Then right before my period I started having really bad anxiety, irritability, just feeling crazy, facial hair, and hair loss now. I know it's from the progesterone. My symptons seem to increase instead of decreasing. At this point I don't know what to do? Yesterday a lady at the health store showed me something she used during peri, she swear it was her lifesaver. She also couldnt take HRT, her symptons worsen. I'm thinking of trying that.

But it may work differently for you

I hope it does if you decide yo try it.?

Thank you for your reply. I am afraid that it will not work for me since I am a benzodiazepine survivor. it seems that once you ruin the GABA receptors with benzo use they are very sensitive and progesterone will affect them badly as well.
