Aches and pains

Hi ladies, can anybody advise me on what they do regarding aches and pains. Horrible pain in both hands and wrists plus ankles. I have been referred to a Rheumatologist but not until the end of September. Also scan for a raised liver function. Been advised to stop painkillers only parceptomol which is not that strong. Anyone experience these pains. I feel I have aged 20 years. Really affecting my work. HELP.

    Evening Debbie

    Sorry to hear your plight.

I have issues sometimes with my left ankle so I sleep with a pillow under it for elevation and that eases it.

    Hope that helps

Maybe try avoiding getting too cold? Would a warm foot bath help feet. And a foot muff, I think you can get heated ones. Have you tried a hot candle wax hand massage therapy? (think that is what it is called). They massage warm wax around your hands and then you fit with s heated glove on and relax! Massage and warmth may help. Hope you find some relief.

Hi Deb, I too had horrible mucles pain with menopause.  It wasn't until the vaginal atrophy and druyness set in that I was given vaginal Estrace.  And then and only then did the pain go away.  Estradiol also happens to be an anti inflammatory.  So good with all this, as I had seen a dozen physicians, none of whom correlated the pain issue with a lack of estrogen.  But I agree with Maria, you may possibly need some estrogen.

Hi thank you so much for your reply. I have read that magnesium helps and have increased food intake which contains this. What we're the tablets that you are taking?. I am taking cod liver oil. I have also found swimming and sauna heat treatment. But it really pulls you down. But thanks.

Hi. I have the same problem but know what starts my pain off. I am intolerant to wheat, gluten and sugar they make me feel terrible. I wake up and can't open and close my hands, my feet hurt neck and legs all over really. But as soon as I stop eating these things I go back to normal.

give it a try, it cuts out a lot of foods but it's worth it.

    good luck
