Yes I'm sure it's due to hormones.. My GP told me that aniexty and aches/pains are very real at this stage. Soaking in epson salt may help. I take magnasium every night to help with that and sleep too. And on the days that I'm not moving too good, I will take IBProfen or Naproxen. Hope you feel better soon.

Yeap it's definitely a hormone issue. I am having pain everyday. Magnesium helps to make the situation a little better.

I am always in pain. I am in perimenopause. I also find that my pain gets worse during a "hot (or cold) flash" .... its horrible. I am guessing its hormone related. Either that or I have been misdiagnosed

I feel so bad for you Pat. Menopause brings so many changes. I have really been going through the stomach and back pain lately too. I have no energy. It just dawned on me today that I might need to get my vitamin D levels tested again. I was found to be really low 2 years ago and my GP put me on 50,000iu (international units) once weekly for six months. I felt worse the next day after I would take it, but after a couple weeks I felt great again. My back/shoulder blade pain and fatigue has returned again, along with stomach issues and hot flashes, burning tingling skin, etc. All the stuff I had before. Try getting your Vitamin D level checked. Remember to take Magnesium with it everyday as it helps your body to assimilate it. Maybe this will help you. Hope you feel better very soon.

Do you get much sunlight on your arms and legs? That too can help build up your Vit D

Hi Jamie, I walk my dog everyday in short sleeves and bermuda shorts. Unfortunately from what my GP told me, once you are really low it takes megadoses to get it even up a few points. Then supplement 1000 iu per day which I failed to continue. I really need to get a baseline again to make sure, as you can overdose on Vitamin D and put Calcium in all the wrong places. So off to doctor again. I think I got so low because I couldn't even leave my house for 2 years after withdrawing from years of pain medication for fibromyalgia and benzos for anxiety and sleep.
