Acid reflux or bile reflux. Peri

Hi ladies

I'm in search of advice.

I'm 46 and in Peri. One of my symptoms is acid reflux or bile reflux.

I had my gallbladder out 15 months ago so not sure which one it is.

I have burning in my chest, throat and in my nose. I have a tight chest that comes out of the blue.

I want to burp more as well.

I'm so fed up with it.

I just had my gallbladder out in March, and I get reflux too. Not sure which one either, since I haven't seen GI Doctor yet. I am currently taking Nexium daily, to combat it, but know I can't keep taking them. Have you seen a GI Doctor yet? If mine gets too bad, I will take a couple Tums or Gaviscon to help. Have also heard that reflux is a peri symptom.

Hi Michelle...i am 48 and had my gallbladder out 2 years ago. No problems since that until last couple of months. My symptoms have worsened and doc said peri so i think it is common. Going to try HRT after i get all my bloods done so hopefully it helps.

I gad the awful burning and acid. Chew sugar free gym after a meal it makes saliva which helps acid reflux. A banana will help also chewing almonds or eating liquorice after a meal will help.

Mine was called acid reflux. After eating I could taste the meal for hours then if I hadn't eaten for 6 or more a horrible sicky taste.

Try ginger capsules 2 half an hour before meals and ginger tea.

These helped mine better than lansoprazol.

Thankyou. I've got the burning again today. I'm eating sensibly but no luck. It burns so bad in my nose to breath. I'm assuming this is acid ?

They say it burns in your nose, mine was that place where your nose meets your throat. The place it hurts if you are getting a sore throat.
