I was prescribed some treatment for thrush, and its helped but the sores are still present. does this look like herpes? theyre fine for most of the day, but stings really bad when urinating. any advice would be greatly appreciated - thank you. image

did they do a swab and culture. looks like herpes and herpes would be painful when urinating.

quite positive this is a HSV outbreak - like all the other advice - get swabbed

hi everyone, i went to the clinic earlier in the week and they said it doesnt look like herpes but did the test anyway (bloods as there was nothing to get a swab from) should get the results next week. they also did lots of other tests and said I have bacterial vaginitis so hence the prescription for thrush.

hopefully it isnt, but all three of you cant be wrong 😦

it is not adviceable to get a blood test unless its been at least 3 months since your last sexual encounter.

If you have BV they shouldn't have prescribed you medication for thrush as they're completely different and require different treatment. Hope you get it sorted!
