Got colonoscopy 2 months back..nothing major...Diagnosed with constipated dominated ibs n gut flora imbalance...From last two weeks following continues tight n heaviness under belly button n bit of cramps like pain...Going to toilet two times with reasonable volume of stool......Pls advice which medicine shud I take ...As this uncomfortable is making me depressed...tks

    Try lots of fruit like oranges, grapes or prune juice or a short term laxative.  For stomach pain try Buscopan and Nurofen.  If Buscopan doesn’t work, your doctor can give you another antispasmodic to try.  There are many on the market.

      Sorry I just forgot to mention...Biopsy shows....minor focal a active colitis..It may be seen in bowel preparation effect......?..? What is this...This is bothering me

      There isn’t much online about this that is written in plain English.  The most I have discovered is that it can be caused by blood supply problems, infection, damage caused by immune cells, has features of Crohns and can be linked to IBS.  I would ask your specialist to explain it to you in simple terms.

    Hi, try eating fermented foods sourdough bread, can you get Kefir ? It's a very strong probiotic drink, or multi strain probiotics strong as possible, bifidobacterium range, Lactobacillus types.
