So I'm on my second week of flu just started 40mg. I have intrusive thoughts before and having general anxiety disorder I think about the what ifs. Any advise on how not to listen to negative thoughts while waiting for Med to kick in so that I can preserve would be greatly appreciated.

hi Brittany, the first few weeks are difficult to get through without various distractions for instance reading, music, walking in the fresh air to help ease the mind and tire you out, or perhaps doing Sudoku or crosswords, perhaps a long abandoned hobby could absorb some time? before you know it the days turn into weeks and the fluoxetine gets you to a much better place, the wait is intolerable almost to begin with because it takes so long to kick in, but by visiting this forum daily was of great help to me, try it! post just whatever random thoughts enter your head, someone somewhere has got the t-shirt already, hey, best wishes for your recovery cheesygrin
