Afraid of Genital Herpes... (sorry for the pic...)

Hi all,

Thanks for reading this.

I am a bit scared as some skin lesions appeared on the shaft of my penis.

I was on a hike in the mountain with a night sleeping out in a tent when on the following day I found a vesicle of around 3mm plus a few that appeared in the following 2 days.

I didn't feel any pain, tingling or itching. never had any symptoms before. No fever as well but a sensible inguinal node on the same side.

The vesicle never opened and just dried becoming darker and darker. I was using betadine several times per day.

I went to the doctor at day 5 who told me it doesn't look like a "normal" herpes. He ordered a blood test and to have the lesion tested. The women at the lab told me the same thing : not an usual presentation. I am waiting for the results in the coming days.

The picture you see is day 6. Can I ask if it is faccording to you a normal image for herpes lesion ?

Thanks a lot for your support

That’s great!! I’m still really scared to go get tested. Hopefully whatever caused that for you isn’t a serious problem!!
