Hi all ...has anyone used a support bandage on their knee after the scar from TKR has healed 

I feel when I go out my knee needs some extra support

i'm 10 weeks post op and still in pain

    My scar was so sensitive after surgery, A tubular bandage helped enormously, not so much for the support, but more to prevent irritation. even trousers were "sore" but the bandage eliminates this.As for true support, if you feel you need it, then go for it, its all amount feeling positive and getting the right frame of mind, it really lifts you!!!

    I found the stronger i got, the more stable my new knee felt. persivere with strenghening the muscles, without subjecting the knee to excessive movement. worked wonders for me .

       I might just try a tubular bandage when I go out ...anything to make the knee feel more stable
