Saw GP yesterday. When I described what happened 23rdFebruary she said it was almost certainly another heart attack. This time I blacked out for atleast an hour.Asked if I had called an ambulance I said "no I just went to bed".Got another ecg in 20 days.Feel a lot better but get tired quickly and by bedtime legs are acting and ankles puffy. Cannot remember them being like this after first attack 2years ago.I know the answer is "how long is a piece of string" but wondered how long it took others to feel "normal"?

Great sense of urgency from your doctor no blood tests to detect cardiac troponin

and an ECG in twenty days.

Why ever did you not call for an ambulance when you came round? Were you on your own at the time?

Because I am a blithering idiot. My husband was at work and my adult autistic son was upstairs headphones on gaming.I just saw it was 9pm and time for bed as have to get up at 4.40am to get son up,fed and off to work.It just did not occur to me to phone as it was after the event. As I only got to see my GP 5weeks after the event I don't suppose much will show on ecg (will find out in time and to be honest part of me does not want to know especially as my mams third one killed her-and if cloning was possible I could be mistaken in looks for hers☺).Thanks for replying

I agree with your first sentence:-)

You are the important one in the house. Who will care for your son if you depart the scene.

The belated ECG could well still show evidence of your heart attack. If I went to my GP with your story he would get the nurse to do an ECG that day.

      Good luck.

Hi Gillian I'm sorry but I think your Dr wants striking off, if you had had a heart attack then you should have been sent straight to hospital because if you have already had one before and you have supposedly had another you could quite easily have another which could prove to be fatal, I suggest you change your GP and get some proper medical attention.

Every heart attack leaves scarring which definitely shows up not only on ECG s it will show up with an echocardiogram.
