Hi! I just have a general question.
I am currently taking the micronor 28 and I have to take the amoxicillin antibiotics in a few days for a dentist appointment. I was just wondering if this would interfere with my birth control at all? I did call the pharmacist and they said it wouldn't but I just wanted to make sure. I would be taking them 12 hours apart.

Some drugs may cause hormonal birth control to work less well by decreasing the amount of birth control hormones in your body. This effect can result in pregnancy. Examples include griseofulvin, modafinil, rifamycins (such as rifampin, rifabutin), St. John's wort, drugs used to treat seizures (such as barbiturates, carbamazepine, felbamate, phenytoin, primidone, topiramate), HIV drugs (such as nelfinavir, nevirapine, ritonavir).
amoxicillin is not included.
