And I just snapped!

Hi people, I know I've been feeling like crxx this week, but I have just lost it completely and snapped at my dietitian. I have to wait over a month to see my dietitian if she'll even bother to see me again. I am really struggling with my diet and just feel like death warmed up some days. Feel a bit ugh today and may know why as it starting to really burn when I wee. (Tmi, sorry). Should I feel worried about upsetting the dietitian, I did apologise. Does any one know what high/low fibre is for diverticulosis? Please help at the end of my tether.

Include a variety of fiber sources in your diet: such as fruits and vegetables (with their skins!), legumes, nuts, seeds, and whole grains.  It is now advised to have vegetables with skins, nuts, seeds and whole grains with diverticulosis because new research hss shown that they will not get trapped in the pouches.

Do not worry about snapping at your dietician since you apologised.  You have been having a very tough time and we are all entiltled to an off day when under stress.

Aw thanks Pippa, do you mind if I show this to my dietician? As for snapping at yes I apologised but have since discovered why I felt so out of sorts, due to not being well. I am sure I'll be OK, got urinary infection so that explains why I feel like this.

You could show this information to your dietician.  I found it by googling diverticulosis/diveritculitis.  Apparently, in the past it was thought that food with skins, nuts and seeds could stick in the pouches and cause problems.  Funny how advice can change!

With UTis, you can feel toxic and it can alter behaviour. My gran got repeated UTis when she was very elderly and she would say and do very odd things when the infection was at its height.

Thanks for your information, I will show my dietician, as for the infection on antibiotics, oh joy. I explained to the dietician that I had this infection, hoping this will help to explain how rubbish I feel. It's a shame you don't live near here we could meet for a drink.

Hope you feel better soon; it is a pity we are not nearer.
