I suffered a severe ankle injury while working my partner was the cause of the accident, whom walked away without any injuries it was a vehicle rollover, now im struggling to find means of work and to pay bills. This is new im only 41 and never experience any major injuries, workers comp has not kicked in, unable to recieve any unemployment and my attorneys aren't keeping me in the loop of the progress of the case, blood pressure remaines at a high level, witnessing this sort pain without being mobile on the regular is irratating and most hurtfull.

So sorry to hear this! Did you just have the accident? What is the extent of your injuries? Hopefully your Workman's Comp will kick in soon! Hang in there!!

You have our sympathy!! All here know what you're going through! Better to accept you have a long "vacation" coming-- when your head clears from the meds you can light a fire under your attorneys by phone! First week after surgery is the worst-- uphill after that! Are you dealing with multiple injuries from the rollover? Hope your partner turns out to be of help!!

Oh wow this is bad. And now I see you are already 3 months out!! I had a break in 3 places, and have 2 plates and many screws. At 4 months now and can walk on it unaided, but slowly. I found massaging with comfrey salve really has helped along with daily stretches with a band. (I'm 63) - point is maybe you won't need 5 more months. Maybe one more month for the light at the end of the tunnel!

    Hi! I hear your distress.

I am living alone and pay my own way with a physical demanding job. Luckily I have always put a bit aside for a rainy day and boy am I glad I did because I too found myself with a severe ankle break and impossible to work. I used my savings to pay my bills etc for 3 months before my income protection kicked in, but didn't receive a payment for 6 MONTHS!!!!! Yes 6 months. I am so glad I had put away for a rainy day or I would be homeless and without food. Very true facts. I do feel for you and I hope your partner is kind and helps you out. I'm on my jack jones 🙂

Oh I'm so sorry to hear all this. The last thing you need on the top of your injury are money issues. I don't know where you live but can't you claim sickness/ disability allowance ? What type of work do you do?
