My son, who is 20, has had an annoying cough for 2 weeks now. He is usually fit and healthy apart from a recent bout of tonsilitis a few months ago. The cough sounds dry but he sometimes coughs up phlegm. He has no other symptoms. Which medicine is suitable for this type of cough? How can you tell if it's a chest infection?
