I'm just wondering if after this op I had ...vaginal hysterectomy anterier and posterior and vaginal repair anyone who has had same op are you experiencing sharp pains up your bottom when you need a number 2 iv never had this b4 op ... I dread it .. its so painful it takes my breath away but as soon as I poop it's gone ... is this something that will disappear with healing ??????

    im at 4.5 weeks and now much better with the pain when pooping.....

    How long ago was your surgery?

      Hi Martina exactly same as you ... 4.5 wk ... pain is awful only when I need to go during and after is ok but I dread it... must be a new muscle lol 😕 x

    I had a vaginal vault repair and a posterior fascial repair two weeks ago and a bowel movement is horrendously painful. Now upped my laxatives to 4 sachets of Movicol a day but still have shooting pains. The pain eases when I have been. I am hoping this too will pass in a week or so. Be brave! We are all suffering and at least can share our thoughts with others who understand.

      Yep sounds like the same sort of pain ... must be anot her symptom I wasn't told about its scary when you bottom is letting you know it's toilet time hey!!!! 😕 x
