Hi sounds like counceling would help. People who been in car accidents often fear getting back in a car they are told to do it straight away and not avoid it but with anxiety this will be even worse . Anxiety will tell u the worst will happen again ( plays with our heads. Sad , but car accidents happen everyday (think of it as oh, i tripped and fell on stairs)walked up stairs millions of times , may never happen again. Know this sounds strange but it's a way of turning your negative thoughts to positive. Know it's hard. Glad you've had tests. See doc again if you need reasuring. Talking here reasured you people know how you feel.??

You are experiencing now a mild form of ptsd which if you continue to travel in a car and accept a bit of initial anxiety then it will soon go.
You will be okay.
