Anxiety and sex?

Posted , 3 users are following.

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post but I'm unsure of where else to turn. Ever since my anxiety got bad I can't have sex. I can't even masturbate. After trying a few times, I feel like my anxiety is worse. It's a mixed combo of feeling good from having sex but also bad anxiety after. Even thinking about sex gives me anxiety. Has anyone experienced this before? What helped?

what is physically or mentally stopping you from having sex etc? Is it parental pressure? Or an ex partner?

This isn't as unusal as you think. If you're on certain medications, you may find that this is a side-effect.  Your GP can help. I'll send you a PM

Thank you for the responses. Sorry though I'll try being a big clearer. I never had an issue with sex until my anxiety started. Now the thought of it and after doing it, makes my anxiety worse. I am on Xanax and Zoloft. I know these can cause no sex drive but that isn't my issue. My issue is I feel my anxiety get worse after sex.
