Anxiety issues with mouth

hi,

i have had anxiety for many years, mainly health anxiety.

Recently i have been suffering with oral anxiety issues it started with an ulcer on my tonsil which got infected.

That got better then i had a dry throat for quite a while that was quite bad.

Now since last week i am getting weird issues on my tongue, like cracks in random places. I started googling and made it worse. i wake up with these cracks all of sudden in the morning and i do suffer from very dry mouth in the night.

I spoke to the doctor he said nothing to worry about, he said could mean immune system is low. But i had a recent blood test in September which was all normal.

I even went dentist and he stated nothing to worry about and said looks like a fissure, he did say he would refer me to an oral specialist.

Please see pics the first was 4 days ago and the other was recent. Does it look better now?

Has anyone had something like this is this anything to worry about?

thanks

fissures or cracks are very common on the tongue. I’ve had those many times and I do have dry mouth. The second picture looks a lot better. If the professionals are telling you, there’s nothing to worry about then you can relax. Don’t drive yourself crazy. We all get aches and pains and cracks and other things that the vast majority are not serious.

get your yearly physical check up and then when everything’s OK, relax and live your life, but don’t constantly be looking for things because you won’t enjoy life. Take it from me. I’ve had anxiety my whole life and I’m way older than you. Take care.
