Anxiety isn't nice. I suffer aswell I was on medication but decided to come off it and try some self help first. I had the same problem as you I got all anxious about going to work to start a new job and ended up in A and e thinking I was having a heart attack or something! Heart was fine, oxygen level was perfect. Anxiety plays a trick on you and then you get more anxious about feeling anxious! If the doctors have ran tests and believe you are fit and healthy.. You are! Don't panick yourself with this sort of thinking. If you wanna private message me feel free, I know how you're feeling x

You're not alone! Remember that. Every 1 in 10 people have mental health issues. It's completely common if it gets too much go to the doctors. I'm considering therapy.. Even though I am slowly getting better so I always have a healthy mind! Do you have people to talk to about your feelings? Friends family etc

Hi I've been through the same thing recently has 3 ecgs in past 6 weeks all fine and blood tests fine I'm still struggling to keep telling myself the doctors said I was okay so I am. It is hard so I feel for you but stay strong and try not to get in to that way of thinking

I was sent to the hospital two times because of anxiety and I thought I was going to die. The sooner you are able to understand that it's anxiety, the sooner you can move forward.

Anxiety plays so many tricks on you, don't let it win smile. Surround yourself in positive places and do things that make you happy. I must admit when I first started medication those anxiety pains in my chest, back and stuff they all vanished. Maybe it's mind over matter I don't know. If it's affecting your life to the point it's too much for you go to the doctors and talk about therapy and maybe medication x

Hi.....I know that panic attacks can be absolutely crippling and also terrifying......I suffered for many. Many years.....almost in a constant state of panic.....awful...

One day I thought....right nothing has happened to me yet....no problems at all....so....I will go out ....and whatever happens.....happens.....and nothing ever did....xxx we expend sooooo much energy just worrying about tomorrow......that we are not living today......I got some mild tranquilizer medication from my Dr....which helped......it was hard at first....but it got easier every single day.....honestly.....it has been more than 40 yrs since I last had one.....but I have never forgotten.....live your life...every minute of every day......it can be overcome.....and remember...if it is REALLY overwhelming....just call 999.... they are always amazing and understand ......my best wishes to you all on this site....big...warm....friendly hugs always.....xxxxxxxx

      Hi Deirdre

I agree with everything you say about anxiety but it is hard to think there is nothing wrong with you, unfortuntley my exprience the twice I took myself to a and e (didnt calll 999), I was given test but was told in no uncertain terms anxiety is not an emergency, they made me feel really stupid and really upset

I am sorry that they didn't have compassion for your feelings.  Do you have a crisis line that you can call and talk with someone about what your dealing with.  It is nice to talk with someone that knows about our mental disorders to talk to.

Hi feeling the exact same, I managed to get to the local shops but couldn't get home quick enough, this anxiety has me worn out. I have appointment to see heart specialist on Wednesday so fingers crossed I get all clear. I have sufered from panic attacks on and off for many years but lately the anxiety seems to be constant. I keep getting a pain in my left arm so of course I'm about to take a heart attack,  This obsession with my heart is driving me crazy,  I get pappatations and skipped heardbeats all the time, my doc thinks it's menopause related but is sending me for tests to be sure. Please tell me I'm not the only one and that i'm not going mad
