Anxiety pain and losing everything

I need advise, I don't mean to be rude but cbt hypnosis and other strategies have been tried. I suffer with a condition where when anxiety kicks in my shoulders and hands burn. I am careful with my meds, I have clonezapam diazapam plus 25mg of sertraline. The doctors in the infinite wisdom left me on 2mg of diazapam day and night eight years ago. I am on a waiting list of a month and I am Literally at the door end of my tether, I need to take things into my own hands of not I will not have a job or a house, so all the people who say "don't take this and don't take that" sorry I am months past that. I need to get into work. Which of the horrid drugs should I use, how much and when to get this under control the more I am off the more the anxiety builds the more tight my muscles get..... I know there are plenty of people that take these meds, I need advise. Yes when I am stronger I will come off. Please help

That's a tough one! Therapy works for some but not others didn't work for me either, the diazepam obviously the longer you take it you risk the addiction scenario then that opens up a hole new can of worms, personnally I'd go down the sertraline route can you double the dose so take 50mg? I take 25mg of sertraline and then 10mg of propanranol it's not the greatest combo but it's better than the other physical side effects!

Anxiety is bloody awful, they keep telling me it's anxiety but I don't believe a word they say! I get really bad muscle tension to all in my neck and shoulders which makes everything heightened x

When did you start the sertraline? If you are unlucky enough to get side effects (alot of people don't but they also rarely post on mh forums) your anxiety will probably get worse before it gets better. I googled it and 25mg is a low dose.

Is the waiting list for a doctor's appointment, can't you go sooner?

Taking clonazepam and diazepam together doesn't seem a good idea, they are both as bad as each other... clonazepam works longer than diazepam....is the diazepam "when needed"'?/

I take Lexapro 10mg  and as little clonazepam as possible but am still a jittery mess most of the time.

    hope you are coping

    take care

I think you are going about this wrong and its not going to end very pretty for you.get a new doctor or go see an alternative dr. A complimentary dr actually they are medical doctors but specialize in alternative as well. Very well tounded people.let them guide you. As much as you think you one step ahead of the game you arent. The meds you are using and have used wont play out well. Im not a doctor but you need to revisit all this.they can wean you off what you are in with something else and you seem determined enough to handle it.im so sorry all the pressure fall on you to be the bread winner. Its easier if this responsibility is shared.there is disability, and other avenues if yiu need a minth off to reconfigure everything. Maybe it wont even come to that. But you need a new plan. The complimentary doctor can help you if you have some lactic acid buildmup in your muscles, or pinched nerves from the anxiety or possibly the long term use of the benzos.also they can help with the anxiety levels. Theres more out there then the traditional meds you know about. Go seek it out. Find the time.

you could be right but I am the one right in the middle of this mess, time off it worse, as I go crazy as the anxiety gets worse. lactic acid buildup, wasnt something I had thought of or know about? pinched nerves, I have had MRIs and stuff, if you looked at my back its like wire, from c7 accross my shoulders, totally except the benzos comment, I was put on them years ago and I didnt know the risks, I am just glad I am not on 10mg of each! I am really not sure what I should be looking for in google doctor wise, I dont think we have many facilities around here like this...thanks

Complementary and Integrative Medicine is what you should for and out in your zip code or the town and see what comes up. Then call and ask if they can help you. They will want a cooy of bloodworks and any tests you have run. They know people come to them as a last resort and in desperate need of help. Some insurances  are covered too it depends on what you have and if you use a md or not. Thats for you to search. Otherwise its all private. If it saves you its worth every single dime. You need to very slowly wean off all the benzos period. They are not meant for a ten year run on a daily basis. Your dose is hugh enough that it will be a tough withdrawl. Realize yiur bidy has adjusted to it as part of its functioning. Best to be done with a doctor. Whatever is going on your life right now needs to be weighed against what you feel you are worth. You can simple at least get a plan of action. Google and find Complementary and Integrative Medical doctor and at least get the ball rolling. Doing nothing is not the answer. I get you are stressed out, and i sense its getting worse so before you run out of time get the ball rolling. Your well being is priceless and very important putting yourself on the bottom of pritories is probably how you got to this situation in the first place. Just think after this battle of weaning off the benzos and using something else, whatevr it is you are given and working with the doctor you choose you can very well be ain a much better situation.one that you are calmer, have the burning thing under a manageable control.or who knows maybe even get to the core of it and then you have your entire life to do what you want with. Work more hours, be much more productive and maybe be happy for once in a long time.  Dont you see that? Sometimes you get a doctor that gets stagnant and doesnt pay attention to you, your symptoms and your situation so you need to move on. Complementary and Integrative Medicine looks at a person on the whole not in little bits and pieces. Its whole person care and they will advise you if they feel a specialist is needed as well. This is a choice for you to make, so far your choices havent panned out very well.i would hope your family would agree that you need to do this for yourself. Good luck and be well and remember you cant expect different results doing the same thing or using the same thought process that got you into this mess. Change is needed now.
