Anxiety ruining everything!

OK so I know I have a job knterview tomorrow and I still haven't finished my presentation and then I fly off on holiday which is always a trigger for me and my eldest son has just left again for Zambia and my dad has been diagnosed with terminal cancer but why can't I get on top of my anxiety today??! Please tell me I'm feeling like this because of the stress and not just because my body had decided it's going on a bender again. Humph! So fed up

That sounds like a lot of stress to me. oh my goodness. I feel for you. Of course your stressed out. I know that when Im stressed..like when my son was deployed last year ....perimenopause made the stress so much worse. It was horrible. I dont know how long you have been peri but Im sure your body will go through many more benders before its over. When I have one I try to change my diet and believe it or not cutting out sugar in my diet helps.

Thanks Kimberley. I know sugar doesn't do me any good but by goodness do I crave it when I'm stressed! Thanks for your words of support

    Good heavens:

You have a load to handle, of course you are stressed.  I think maybe sometimes we need to accept the stress, don't fight it.  At times I give in to it because it seems naturally a bad time.   Sounds like a confusing time for you.  I hope the holiday will help, maybe a whirl pool and a quiet place to relax?  Or do you do better in an exciting place with music and people around you where everything just disappears for a while?  Slow down, move slower and count the blessing which is also difficult to do but does help me.

Thank you kathy. I'm hoping I can get to my destination without freaking out. I should be ok once I'm there. Can't wait for this week to be over!
