Hi all I'm new to the forum.
im a 25 year old male who has been feeling light headed and on edge for the last 3/4 weeks. I play sports and found myself not able to concentrate and had a little wobble and the ambulance was called at the weekend,
I hit a low point a couple of days ago whenmy mind was in overdrive I felt really dizzy and lightheaded and was convinced I was dying. In recent weeks I've been scared of heart attacks and cancer. I have had ECGs and tests at the hospital and the drs say its anxiety and stress. Is it normal to feel tired, light headed and worried all the time? I feel like I'm in like a fog and my mind is in overdrive and that things are just passing me by!
Sometimes I feel achy but mainly just tired and lightheaded a lot! I haven't been prescribed any medication but I am booked in for more blood tests tomorrow , CBT next week and a scan next week. I do have a stressful job too but I actually love my job and everything about it.
Any advice would be great

Yes, this sounds exactly like the symptoms of anxiety that I get! It's good that you're having other tests though, so that you can be reassured that there's nothing else wrong. I hope CBT helps, it sounds like you've made a great start to sorting your anxiety out!

sometimes I have an achy chest and odd pains nothing major! I however take this to mean heart attack! I've had a 24 hour monitor ans I'm just awaking the results.
I feel like I'm in a tunnel of confusion my mind working overdrive and things just going past me either side. I have difficulty concentrating and holding long conversations. I forget things I should know eg music songs I know the lyrics but can't think of the song names which leads my mind again to go in to overdrive!
I have also changed all my diet I used to drink lots of fizzy drinks and eat like KFC and lots of foods like that! I dropped them all completely a month and a bit ago I find myself having lost a bit of weight and low on energy! Bad times
Anyone else experience similar?

I changed my diet for the better too (and as hippyish as it sounds) it made me feel much better, along with more exercise- I do have more energy!
I've found that hypnotherapy is helping me, as well as relaxation techniques. It sounds quite wishy washy, but that, along with CBT has helped me. I can concentrate and remember a lot better, and can control my anxiety/panic attacks. Now that I'm less tense all of the time, my pains have subsided.
If this is anxiety, there are loads of ways to improve. Try not to worry while you wait for your results to come back.

I constantly fear that something bad is going to happen to me and can't see the light it's really weird and worrying!
I am pretty sure it's anxiety as I can't stop thinking about things and cannot switch off! I do start therapy and have further tests next week. The most worrying thing is forgetting things which then makes me worry even more as I should know them.
I just don't feel myself I'm always happy and have a laugh with everyone but I find myself just feeling not normal and a little down! I just don't know what to do
