Any Advice

Hi guys

Hope this finds you all well....or as well as can be expected anyway!

I have been on Fluoxetine 40mgs for 10 weeks now and although i do have some good days..the bad days still far outweigh them. I am due to go back to the Mental Health Team at the end of this month and wonder whether its worth trying 60mgs or just trying something completely different?

Any thoughts would be really appreciated....thanks xx

    Hi there Juppster

I don't think I can advise you well because I'm only on 20mg. I'm having awful days and very very few good days. I don't want to go any higher because I'm developing worse symptoms of paranoia.

I think have a word with the MH team and see what they say. Sorry that i can't advise any further. I hope all goes well and that you start having many better days!

    Hi Juppster

Sorry its taken a little while to get back to you.

I don't know of anyone who is taking 60mg of flu. I've been on 40mg now for a good few months and it has levelled my mood.

I don't know whether 60mgs is the right way to go. Have you tried any other of the SSRI's?

Best wishes and i hope the good days return with avengence.

    xx

I was on Citalopram last year but mainly for anxiety and panic attacks... worked wonders for that but sadly the depression seemed to get worse!

Thanks again for taking time out to respond.....i hope you're having a good weekend

    xx
