Hi, I have been on HRT for 4 weeks now ..after not coping with hot flushes all day and unable to sleep with night sweats...I haven't had a hot flush for over a week and feel so much better..I'm actually sleeping all night also...so yes I have made the right decision

Hi I am on the Estradiol patch .0025 very low dose for about 6months or so. I am thinking of not putting it on anymore. It has helped me in the hot flashes, tiredness and mood sings and maybe even anxiety but i have cysts on my breast and seems like the patch makes my cysts hurt more. I started exercising and that is helping me with my energy. I am hoping i can stay off the patch smile

Hi Lisa, I have been taking HRT for 5 months I'm so glad I did I had heard so many bad things about it and refused to even consider it for well over a year and I realised that life was becoming miserable night sweats, hair loss, feeling tired and and a change in my overall personality very bad mood swings.. I did lots of research and on the topic and decided enough was enough, I couldn't take herbal supplements as most have soy in and I also have an underactive thyriod.. the difference is amazing I like my husband again 😊 No sweats no hot flushes my hair is growing back and I feel like me again.. it's a personal decision but I'm glad I did it.. good luck don't suffer

Thank you Kazzaxs, I'm glad you found relief! How long do you think you will stay on it? Are you still getting a period? Mine are 4 months apart still.

Hi I struggled without HRT trying every natural method I could but couldn't cope anymore within 3 weeks of being on HRT I felt back to normal I'm so relieved that I made that choice, its taken almost a year to get the dose and delivery method right and now I feel great.I dread the thought of ever having to come off it as I would never want to feel that awful again.

Definately the right decision for me

    good luck

I am older 71 and never took estrogen and Progesteren. I have vaginal atrophy and went to a urologist and gyno.  Both recommended Estrace cream which is applied vaginally.  I have been on two weeks and no improvement yet but I am told it takes time.  I would say go to your gyno and they can get you started.  Good luck

Hi Lisa..started bio identical hormones 16 weeks ago due to shocking mood swings with depression, nervous anxiety, obsessive thinking etc. I felt as though I was losing my mind. BHRT has helped heaps as I knew my problem was due to hormone imbalance. Took a few adjustments to get them right and may have them adjusted again slightly but I feel so much better and definately more balanced.

Hi Lisa, I went on to HRT a year ago. At first it was a godsend.  But then I started getting awful symptoms whilst on the Progesterone. I have been on several brands to find the right one for me but I have discovered that I am Progesterone intolerant.   I am great when on just the Oestrogen but as soon as I start taking the Progesterone I suffer.  Different types can make me suffer with fatigue, anxiety and very bad headaches.  I am going to try the Utrogestan pessaries next, these are supposed to cut down the side effects as they are bypassing your liver as taken vaginally and going straight to were the Oestrogen is needed.  I live in hope!

    Hi.

Iv been on HRT for 15 years due to having a total hysterectomy at 42 I had no choice really.

Been on the same one all that time too.

Iv been fine on it, the last 8 years I take one every other day,

i think my skin and hairs benefited for being on it too.
