Any experience with gabapentin?

Recently my anxiety (mainly health related) has become severe.I can barely function at work and its straining my relationship with my husband.Im constantly terrified something is wrong.Yesterday my doctor increased my Lexapro and added Gabapentin 300mg three times daily.Has anyone used this before?How long does it take to work.I guess im nervous as treating anxiety seems to be an off label use for this drug.

    Hi, I dont understand, why, your DR give you Gabapentin , I always thought this was an anti seizure drug, not great for anxiety...I would go with the increase in lexapro and see does it help....just my opinion...xx
