So I’ve just been scrolling through here and found a post exactly how I’m feeling “When I go into the store I feel fine, maybe minor dizziness - but as I start walking through the store I srart feeling like I'm going to really pass out. I get spacey (like almost run into people and stuff), I just feel like a heart attack, seizure, or something horrible is coming on. My legs get shaky I get weak and hot. Does anybody get this? I feel like people think im on drugs or something because I think my anxiety shows” has anybody got any good coping techniques for this? I started sertraline but I couldn’t cope with the side effect, any suggestions?

This is exactly what happens to me! After a few minutes in a store I have to bend or hang on to my cart because I feel like I'm going to pass out! My breathing gets even more difficult than it already is and I have to get out! Anxiety makes your symptoms feel so real

I definitely understand! I'm 23 years old and I can't even go out and spend those with my husband and 2 year old because I can never make it past maybe 30 minutes in the store if i hang in there real hard! Do you get shortness of breath? I'm actually going to try Himalayan pink salt and magnesium supplements because the anxiety I have has nothing to do with stress, it's just general and I could be mineral deficient

Hi Rosebud. These are classic symptoms of anxiety and are very uncomfortable but will not harm your body. If you private message me I will tell you about good websites and books for you to look at which I'm sure will help you. Luv Lily x

Hi Rosebud. These are classic symptoms of anxiety and feel really horrible. The feelings are very uncomfortable, but they are not harmful to your body. You won't pass out or have a heart attack. Go on the website CBT4panic and also 'anxietynomore' and read up about the feelings and symptoms of anxiety. It will help you to understand more about it and what is happening to you. Luv Lily x

I have similar reactions to shopping and still can’t figure out why. I also cannot concentrate on what I’m trying to buy, even with a list. It doesn’t happen every time, but it’s enough to be totally upsetting. I have often had to abandon my mission and come back at another time. It seems to be a form of panic attack that isn’t what I normally have had. Could be associated with social anxiety since it subsides when I leave the store and sit in the car for awhile. You’re not alone by any means.
By the way, I couldn’t deal with the side effects of Zoloft either.

Hi Rosebud,
It looks like you are suffering from anxiety and having panic attacks. The next time you could try taking a deep breath and accept the fact that you are having anxiety and that it's all in your head, your brain is playing a trick on you. Talk to yourself, question your thoughts, try to be calm while you visually see that's it's going to be alright. Practice being an observer and stay positive and yes visualization really helps. Good luck to you Rosebud! I hope this was some help!

I'm the same way, and it's scary that I'm needing my comfort zone more and more
