Anyone else bunged up?

Hi all - I'm starting my third week of tablets and not having much luck although being very very strict with food and bumping up exercise no end. I've had IBS for about 20 years so already have to be careful with what I eat. My question is, rather than needing to go to the loo frequently or urgently, I'm actually finding it hard to go and therefore feel heavier.
Over the weekend I stopped taking the tablets as an experiment and over the two days, lost 3 lbs. I went back on the tablets yesterday, didn't change any eating patterns at all, did an extra 30 minute job as well as aerobics and this morning I'm a pound on. One day last week it went up by 2.5lbs for no reason!!!!!
I'm wondering if these tablets are for me - unless i up my fat content to provoke an 'attack', which I'd rather not do but that might clear me out. I read somewhere about a new thing called 'colon cleanser' which is a drink you can have which is supposed to remove loads of waste from your intestines - anyone heard of it or experienced it?
Any other suggestions ... I'm getting rather despondent now, especially on hearing all the success stories - WELL DONE to those of you though, I know it's a tough road.

I havent been feeling bunged up, i have been going to the loo quite alot and had quite abit orange oill the past two days, i dont know why as i have not eaten loads of fat.. But one thing i can say is that it is diffrent for everyone, and everybodys body acts diffrent. I have only been on these for a week this is my second week in so cant really give advice on this. The best thing is to check with your GP and see what they have to say.. Keep it up... you can do it... Lola..

If it's the same with you, you could try something like fybogel.

Not sure if I am eating enough fat, Am I right in thinking the tablets won't work if I don't eat enough fat?

I'm going to give it one more week, get weighed at the GPs and if there's no real improvement except for being 'bunged up', I'm not going to bother anymore - but I'm determined to lose this weight once and for all. I've certainly changed my eating (or rather snacking) habits so that must be the right path at least.
I'm not sure about all this fat content thing. My GP didn't give any advice at all, just the small bit of info on the packet which doesn't tell you a great deal. I've learnt so much more off these posts. Maybe as I've cut out all fat from my diet the pills don't have anything to work with, in which case I may as well not have them??? It's a tricky one!

I was told if I feel bunged up its because I'm not eating enough fat. My Nurse was very helpful.
15g of fat is for the average person, but if you are on the heavier side like me then my body needs a bit more to process, the same with calories. It was explained to me that if I get constipated introduce a little more fat into my diet to help the tablets work. Not over do it but you have to find the right levels for you.
Hope this helps.
