Anyone else had or has this?

Ladies,

I'm hoping I can get some reassurance! I have a health anxiety and it had tripled due to a post coital bleed (a really small show),anyway to add to this the following year I have had night sweats, face flushes, hip pain, anxiety, doom and gloom etc. Anyway had a smear 6 months ago and all clear so was happy about that. Periods are regular 29-31 days, not heavy bleeding at all. Bleeding for 4-5 days but the petering out days of light brown discharge are lasting another 4-5 days. Not a lot of it and when I say brown I mean if I used coloured toilet paper I wouldn't notice but it's because I'm too in tune to what's going on? Can anyone help?

I have the same thing and it just started happening about 5 months ago with all the other symptoms. My cycles come every 22 to 27 days and I bleed for about 3 to 4 days and then a brown discharge for another 3 days or so. Has me a little worried when it happens. I hope you get some responses because I would like to know if this is common as well.

You didn't say how old you are, but yes, this is all normal. Remember, a period is your uterus shedding it's lining. Early in your period, it's bright red which is new blood. Toward the end, it's older blood which is more brown in color. And as you go through perimenopause, you may get these scary looking clots. Sounds gross, I know. Perfectly normal. Peri causes periods to be erratic. Sometimes heavy, sometimes light, different colors, and eventually you may skip some completely.

      Hi

Thanks for that, I'm 40 but my gp has said I'm too young for this and that its all anxiety. I'm not going mad, these symptoms are happening and my mum was put on hrt at 46 and she had symptoms for years. I just wish sometimes you could get someone who has been through it and has that knowledge rather than from a textbook

I can't really say if you'really too young for peri. But what you're worried about with your periods is nothing to worry about. Mine were always like that. As far as the hot flashes and night sweats, it might be anxiety or just hormonal. I wouldn't worry at all. Trust the doctor and see if you can stop worrying about this and find a way to ease your anxiety.

Hi Hun yep I could have written your review as I am experiencing exactly the same apart from flushes. Post coital bleed yes, hop pain and general back and hop niggles, feeling blue and full of doom n gloom with no energy. Yep -that's me!!!

All we can do is focus and be patient with ourselves at this time but it's so hard not to worry. I feel about 70 today (I'm only 52) but could curl up in a ball and have s tear really.

Doc has prescribed me get in the form of a lotion but would really like to get through this naturally.

How I feel now though I may just give it a go!!

You aren't alone Hun -keep smiling and have a good week xxxxx
