Bless you I know what you are going through my love. It's very scary to say the least. I have episodes like this frequently at random times no pattern and apparently this is the nature of our fluctuating hormones etc. I also have had a previous heart attack at age 38 ( I am 53 now) so any heart fluttering palpitations and the like increases that crushing feeling of dread and fear. I find coming to this forum does help as you realize that the things you are experiencing are not all that unusual during peri and menopause. It sort of helps you focus on reality rather than thoughts spiralling out of control. I also practice relaxation and meditation ( YouTube is a good resource for this). Doesnt have to be anything too heavy. Also keep a diary if you feel this may help . Also just to say if the symptoms get worse or do not subside do get checked out just to eliminate and reassure.

    Take care.

      Hi gilly_644...

You dont mention where you are at on the menopause journey and I dont need to know but just wondering if the pain in your arm has been checked out ?

im 51 , im in peri because i still get my period but they come closer together and heavier.

i had my arm checked last year because it saw a lump by my elbow. turns out it was fatty tissue call lipoma. its kinda get soar every time my period is set to arrive. same as the pain under my left breast and arm. i really feel its loss of estrogen.

anyone else has the same issue?

      Hi Christina

Its awful when anxiety stops you sleeping. Ive been the same. I worry about things that before menopause wouldnt have bothered me. Trying hard not to let these crappy symptoms spoil everyday. Have you tried any herbal supplements? Im taking black cohosh and red clover. Sending a hug x

YES!!! thats why I keep something by my bed at all times like either ensure plus the others have substitue sugar , I use to put in a sandwhich bag every night by my bed a half of a peanutbutter sandwhich and a small bottle of 100% grape Juice I would buy the 6 pack! Hormones can suddenly drop the blood sugar I have and had a hard time with that one! Plus the anixety/ panic attacks and internal shaking as well as had it on outside of body but mostly felt inside shakes/tremors and the jelly legs and weird weakness feeling in both arms and legs although I still had strength in them!
