Yes, all mu numbers seemed to increase with my hormone craziness. I started eating a whole foods, plant based diet, along with intermittent fasting, which is just eating in an 8 hour window only. Fast for 16 hours, eat for 8. My eating window is 11 to 7pm. Along with exercise and no sugar I have seen an amazing improvement with ALL of my symptoms! I still have symptoms, but not as severe and I am better able to cope. Good luck, and know you are not alone!

Yes, my triglycerides has increased. I was put on a statin about 6 years ago. I have taken myself off of them twice because of leg pains. I am have been off of them for a week and have seen improvement in leg pains. I am sure I will catch heck when I go see my NP tomorrow morning.

I feel Doctors hand out some medication like candy at Halloween. Statins being one of them.

My old Dr where I used to live said he was just a glorified drug pusher. WHAT??? Yeah in a way he is right. The drug companies court the Doctors and they in turn prescribe to their patients. We are half afraid to take the meds and and half afraid not to . Vicious cycle.

Google is the evil internet monster that feeds our fears that sends us to the Doctors who either think we are hypochondriacs or they order a bunch of tests that takes forever to get and receive results for all the while we feel more awful and worry more.

I just want to grab them by the shirt front and say "Look, if I could give you how I feel for Christmas I would slap a bow on it and call it yours, but since I can't how bout you be my secret Santa and REALLY help me? Not give me some antibiotic, steroid shot, or pill that makes me hate myself and everyone around me because I feel worse then when I started."

I would love to do that, but instead I sit kicking my legs against the back of the chair waiting for my NP to show up in the office and then get the 10 minutes to explain all my issues all the while they type away in the computer and then I walk out irritated and depressed or worrying about some test that I have to wait for a phone call from a referral.

Ok, sorry about the tirade, I step down from my soapbox. Yes, my triglycerides are up and I have been prescribed atoravastatin. Ironically that is the very least of my worries in my health right now. Sigh,

    Hugs!

Went to NP appt and told her I went off my statin to see if it helped my leg pain. Yes it did and she sheepishly said they do cause leg pain. I would really like to control my cholesterol naturally.

On a side note I have lost 20lbs so far and have right side pain and gallbladder issues (again). NP said there is a phenomenon that has widely been reported on that weight loss triggers gallbladder issues in many. She was really impressed with my weight loss. Said she hardly recognized me. Bless her heart, that was a nice lie. 😃
