At the moment it's a very soggy Ireland! It's been raining all morning - yuk.
I'm OK, bit pxxxxd off at the mo. Long story short - went to hospital last week, thought I was seeing a surgeon about my shoulder, which has been bothering me for over 2 years. Instead I saw a surgeon about a mole on my back, (I went to see someone over a year ago about some skin tags that had suddenly appeared, she said they were fine but was 'concerned' about my mole) - it has never given me a moments bother - unlike my shoulder!
Got a phone call this morning from the hospital - can I come in on Thursday to have the 'lesion' excised. I said I couldn't make this week she said surgeon wanted to see me ASAP! 57 years of trouble-free mole and suddenly it's urgent I have it removed - what's up, got no work on?
Sorry to go off topic and rant, but I know all you girls are understanding and I just wanted to vent!

It's soggy here in western washington state usa, too.
The mole could be a fast growing cancer. listen to them, they don't usually work that fast, they mute see it as an emergency.

Go get it off. They are seeing something they don't like. They will check it for cancer. Its probalby nothing. But its just good to check and get it out of the way. If its on your back you can not see it up close to see changes.
I am fair skinnd and havehad moles removed. no problems. I also have had skin cancer removed. Its just best to get it out of the way.

It is the blaming and not listening that gets my goat too. it's like they have a judgement in their heads before they even see you.

Now look at the response you recieved from one question. Women from all over. We are not a few whiney women. We are an army. Think what you can do when you go into the doctor's office. When your needs are not met or your questions not answered. You tell them this is not good enough. This will not stand. I deserve good compassionate care. I am not a "spent hen" but a women who needs care and answers. That's what you should expect whether paying cash, using insurance or the NHS. We live in the first world. We should expect more and demand it

It is very empowering to expects my doc to do his or her job. I told my last doc, "if you can't do the biopsy, then I will find a doctor who will", I got up and started to leave. I was reeeely p*ssed! You have never seen anyone backpeddle so fast.
He did the biopsy and was shocked at the results. He diagnosed me with polymyositis, a nasty painful muscle/connective tissue disease. Of course after that, I fired him.
I don't take BS from anyone anymore because so many will simply shine you on. SO many docs are disrespectful of women.
ROAR! Be strong!!!
