hi i am new to this community .. my menopause symptoms can differ from day to day .. but can certainly relate to the nausea feeling .. going through the aching legs symptom again. Have not had this since the very beginning of menopause 5 years ago.

Hi Hanny, I have been going through this hell for the last 4 years and now the new symptom for me are aching legs and all muscles and joints. I am glad we have this form to at least vent our "paint" and to confirm that we are not loosing.

    Hi Aliska,

I can tell you I have had this issue and have talked to a few other people who have had this too. I would have episodes that lasted for 1-2 days with nausea, vomiting and headaches. It would usually happen a day or two before my period. It is supposedly caused by a drop in estrogen. My doctor told me to take a half of Benadryl before bed when I felt an episode coming on. Knock on wood but I haven't experienced a full "attack" in almost two years. If I feel nausea coming on I either take a Benadryl, Zofran Rx or if it is really bad, a half of a Xanax. I keep ginger ale (real ginger is even better), peppermint tea, wrist bands and Pepto on hand at all times. It is almost like morning sickness.

It is strange but I'm still not getting hot flashes. I'm 54 and according to my FSH level, I'm post menopausal. I don't think this is true because I still feel symptoms coming on; breakouts, sore breasts, moodiness. Hopefully the vomting attacks over the last 6 years are in lieu of hot flashes.

Maybe your HRT needs to be adjusted with a lower amount of estrogen? It sounds like it is hard to get it all leveled out but we know our bodies best.

I hope you feel better soon. There are a lot of nauseous menopausal women in the same boat.

      Hi Maria

      Bless you ....!

The nausia has sorted itself out and think it may have been a combination of anxiety caused by the body being upside down and stressed out along with the drop in hormone ..

Feeling better with the HRT now, meds and suppliments ..

How are you getting on ?
