Are my current symptoms self inflicted and can the hospital determine this?

Hi - i suffered from acid reflux since Christmas and i had an endoscopy which revealed mild gastritis. I was put on ezomprazole/nexium twice a day and im now on one a day. My symptoms have almost gone apart from an uncomfortable or over sensitive or sore throat/tube and clearing. i thought i had kicked this but i am so anxious about it all and taking PPIs (which i dont want to do) that i dont know whether i am now causing these remaining symptoms myself through sheer panic. I am booked for hospital tests but havent had a letter yet and now i dont know what to say to them. can they perform a test which tells you if your body is producing acid or if you are causing symptoms yourself? i sound crackers but i cant seem to break the cycle. im not so bad at home but in work its all i can think about. x

Having frequently throat clearing from mucus? And as soon as it is cleared you have to clear it again and have a minor cough? Maybe then it's not the acid anymore that's been coming up. That could be pepsin damaging your mucus membranes. I'd call it as LPR. Discuss about it with your doctors. Good luck.

Endoscopy has made my life like a dead person.
