Astigmatism

Hi! I had my very first prescribed glasses. The doctor told me i have astigmtism. My vision is blurry. I cant see any faces. Powerpoint presentations in lectures were caused of my headaches. And my eyes are very sensitive to light.

But when my classmates and friends try my glasses they said that it seems that it was normal for their eyesight and accused that i am wearing it for fashion not like the other kids in school that if they look atbtheir glasses they will see a difference.

My glasses already reduced my headaches and presentations are not troubling me anymore. Is it normal for them to see my glasses as ordinary if they have no astigmatism?

Hi, are you saying that your new glasses help you?  That is the object of the exercise, not to please your classmates.

If your glasses don't help, then go back to your Optometrist or prescriber & have them checked.

    Are you in the UK?

    Don't worry!

Take absolutely no notice of what they are saying. Are they experts in glasses and correction of sight problems? If your glasses are working for you then that is the main thing.  Trust your optician.
