I would make an appointment to see a good chiropractor....not a McTimoney one as they have a more limited skill set.
I would be very surprised if you did not get the relief you are looking for. Please let me know how it goes.

Pick a good one and they will know what they are doing so I really do not think it will be a problem. Even if they do not do any actual manipulation they will be able to identify any problems. This is the starting point after making notes about you and your condition.
Nothing to loose apart from a consultation charge and it nay make a huge difference to you. I find they can do things that doctors cannot.

oh, Johnny, you are so talking my language! My surgery was May 15th, so it's been about 7 weeks. The first 4 weeks, all was going well, healing and working with the physical therapist. About 3 weeks ago my back started bothering me, big time! My right (op side) leg is 1/4 to 1/2" longer than the left. Even the surgeon agrees. So I blame the back issues to my body adjusting to this difference, at least partially. I've been to my chiropractor 3 times and even the PT has worked on my lower back. It hurts to sit too long, get up out of a chair and initially walking. Once I get moving, it seems a little better. But, I want to stop hurting! I'm sure you agree! The reason for my hip surgery was advanced arthritis. Now the surgeon also tells me I have arthritis in my lower back. He suggests working to strengthen my core muscles and more walking. Check with your physio. Perhaps this will work for you. Keep moving forward! Good Luck!

I'm very sorry to hear that your chiropractor was unable to help you. What did they find and what solution did they offer you.
Although obviously it would have been nice to have both legs the same length I very much doubt if your leg difference would actually make any difference.
I had about 1/2' difference in my original hip replacement done twenty years ago and measured a few months before it wore out and it came as a great surprise to me! My revision of seven weeks ago has one leg longer than the other and no problem.

Hi RichardKen,
I didn't say my chiropractor didn't help me! Each visit was a relief and I did feel better, but the problem didn't go away. It's arthritis in my lower back, which we didn't know when visiting him, still believing it was the difference in leg length.
The surgeon has suggested putting a heal cushion in my other shoe. That is helping a little bit. He is also suggesting exercises to strengthen my core, which should help my lower back. Also he wants me to do more walking, again, helping strenthen my core. PT continues for about 3 more weeks, so that will be their goal!
Thanks for your input!

I found that needed at least six visits to get the results needed that other health care professionals were not able to offer.
Good luck Richard
