I was on Livial for 12 years , no problems then got Endometrial cancer 3 years ago. Had quite a few proceedures and everything went well. Last year the cancer came back and 2 weeks ago had a Hysterectomy and lynph nodes removed. Had to come off HRT prior to surgury, during a recent consultation my surgeon mentioned about going back on HRT.It's not been too bad after coming off it. I wondered if anyone had gone back on HRT after a hysterectomy.

You do not mention how old you are or if you have had ovaries removed at time of hysterectomy. I wonder what procedures you had for the endometrial cancer. I am having a hysterectomy because of hyperplasia - cellular changes that may or not become cancer later. I think the gynaecologist is doing a hysterectomy and removing the ovaries as a safeguard. I am 66.
I would have thought going back on HRT following hysterectomy would be ok.
I plan to do that.

I am 68 years old and I did have my ovaries removed. What happened during the proceedures was I had a hysteroscophy which is removall of part of the lining of the womb,O ne of the things you need to do prior to surgury is to get yourselt reasonable fit, Idid some cycling and went for brisk walks, it does stand you in good stead if you are fairly fit. I was;nt prepared for how much it wipes you out and you have to take it really easy and not do too much to soon. I had bowell cancer 19 years ago and was in hostital for 6 weeks and was very ill. It's all part of lifes rich tapestry you have to deal with things that come your way, good luck with your op
