Back pain followed with bleeding

I was suppose to start my period on the 22nd of january but it didnt arrive that day. i had lower back pain, occassional sharp abdominal pain and mild cramping the days after my expected period. it wasnt til the morning of the 25th that i had dark brown discharge in my pad and then when i used the restroom a gush of blood came out of my vagina. i just assumed it was my period but i never experienced that before. to this day, im still bleeding red but i have no cramps or back pain. what is happening?
