    Hi Lynne and everyone,

Had my band fitted at the end of May 2015, in fact 9 weeks tomorrow. Did well, lost 10lb in pre op diet and a further 12lb in first 4 weeks post op, when I had my first band fill of 4ml. Unfortunately, so far have had no retriction and in last 3 weeks have been struggling....think I have maintained but too many temptations and portion sizes have returned to before sizes (struggling)!

I am however having my second band fill of 2ml on Wed (so was told it takes 2ml to fill the silicon tube and 2ml in band on first fill, so therefore this fill of 2ml should double the band fill) and so hoping to feel restiction or some help or warnings as I'm off on holiday for 3 weeks next week and don't want to blow what I've done so far.

Any wise words of wisedom please?

Hi chanters - weight can be a very complexed issue to overcome and my experience of yo yo dieting is frustrating unhealthily and unbalanced.  You have though lost 22 lbs which is a great achievement so please do not lose sight of this.

Maybe try a few things that I am trying to focus on and see if they work:

When you are hungry keep hydrating yourself with water - I drink throughout the day 2.25 litres of water and find that to be helpful - still filtered.

When feeling hungry do something - change your thoughts and focus on something else - go for a walk, have a bath, ring a friend.

i have a mental picture of where I want to be and do focus on that before I go to bed, I sort of meditate on it!

i fully understand and switch you regarding the weight issue as it is my plight also, remember you can! Try reading positive books and success stories and I'm sure after your second fill things will become easier!

      keep us posted!

      best of luck

      xx
