My doctor has ordered this. i have a hx . of diverticulosis and diverticulitis. currently on antibiotics for a flare. i am scared to death to have the B.E. i thought these were not done much anymore since colonoscopy has beenade easier for patient's. I woukd like to hear experiences of others who have had this done.

I think it's a substitute to endoscopy.,., a liquid is given to swallow for this test and than the liquid is reflected in the x rays if any abnormalities is found
