Beeding, again. Is it ok to just not worry?

Hi, I've been on here before and told that sorry tale about my bleeding during and after a BM. I've had several doctors tell me there's nothing to worry about and a colonoscopy showed only a couple of thrombosed veins and a healed scar.

My question is whether others in my position worry about the blood when they too know the cause is nothing to worry about? I just can't stop and it's really effecting my mood, and so my life in general.

I can't find any sort of pattern to the cause of why the flare ups happen, and nothing I try seems to work to make it stop once and for all.

One doctor told me i need to treat it as a minor inconvenience. Can I really just ignore it and carry on with my life despite the toilet filled with blood each day?

Did u have surgery? How long ago? I had external @ a fissure but no bleeding. I'm 12 days post op.

No, I've not had surgery. Bleeding has been on and off for two years and went 23 weeks without an episode last year and 12 this year only for it to all start again randomly. I had an appointment to see a surgeon but cancelled as it had been weeks with no blood but it started again within days if doing so. I've made an appointment to see my doc in a couple of weeks and will ask to be referred once more.

I have a good life and want to be happy, but this bleeding frightens me and just makes me miserable.

Well that's certainly put more fear in my mind, blood transfusion!?!

Very glad to hear that you only have minimal problems now. What was the op you had?

On occasion the toilet is totally red too. As disgusting as it sounds I've monitored this and there's approximately 10 drops of blood following the bm. This seems to be worse the longer it takes for the bm to exit.

Thing is, if its internal piles I can't feel anything when i apply rectogesic, and saw nothing on the camera during the colonoscopy. I do have a skin tag from years ago so presume the bleed come from this.

Wish i knew exactly what the cause is the blood is. I'd be much happier if I knew it was related to the tag, or the vein close to that.

I'm booked in with my doc in a week or so. Hoping it'll clear up by then an I can cancel. Had a day with no blood yesterday but very loose stool. Today rock hard and loads of blood. Absolutely pig sick of it all.

Omg I am in the same boat and have no idea what to do anymore. I'm losing about 3 table spoons of blood every day with a bm ( I measured) my blood results came back ok because I take so many iron supplements. But still so scary losing blood every day. I fear using the toilette. Had halo surgery a year ago but the complications were worse and lost even more blood from that and it didn't fix the problem so trying to avoid surgery. My issue is I go on holiday in 4 days for 2 weeks and I'm worried that I might lose to much blood and become sick when away. Been bleeding for 2 weeks straight now Any advice hugely appreciated.

The more I hear about unsuccessful surgery or the pain and complications afterward I feel more worried. I'm scared to death of going to the toilet, it's the first thing I think about when i wake and all that is on my mind throughout the day.

My situation began 2 years ago after weight lifting, was on and off almost daily for a year (I blamed on stress caused by the death of my mother) but then nothing for 6 months. It began again after heavy lifting in December, on and off for a month or so and then 4 months of nothing. A little constipation caused this flare up (along with stress of becoming obsessed by the problem).

Yesterday I decided to try everything to get rid of the issue. 2 litres of water, sheriproct, lots of fibre, apple cider vinegar, not sitting on the loo for longer than needed, and today my stools were softer and only 2 drops of blood.

Hopefully after a few days of this i can get rid of the damn problem for a while.

Keep me posted on how you get on today.

I've started bleeding again, stomach cramps an a general feeling of unwell... Now an external haemorrhoid has appeared and its bleeding.. very worrying, embarrasing and damn inconvenient..

That's the worst part of it for me, the embarrassment. The fear of bleeding through clothes, the fear of surgery and recovery time off work, and having to sit on a cushion when returning. The shame of picking up prescription medicines.

I going to try stool softeners today for the first time. Really hoping they don't cause me too have to have a bm more frequently and only change the consistency of the poop. Wonder how long it may take to see any improvement?
