Best way to discontinue, can't take urinary frequency anymore. Figure best way to stop it is to go off.

Yes 10/7.50/5...stay on each dose at least 2to 4 weeks ..just feel how you feel and determine your decreases if for any moment you feel strange again go back to previous dose..

Have heard so many different things. Tried enablex, didn't work. Going to go down to 5. Can't get a liquid suspension, will it still be okay to cut down with pill cutter? Going to start in a day or 2. Scared. But this urinary side effect is driving me nuts.

Try a new large toe clipper that's what I did to get more accuracy..

Hi Nancy, I agree with lois! You can purchase pill cutters online, or ask your doctor for liquid cita which is useful if you need to taper by smaller amounts and is more accurate.

    Nancy,

Hopefully the urinary urges will dissipate going to lower dosage. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Will😎 my prayers are with you!

Actually, staying at 10mg. Went on eneblex, bladder control med so I could try to ride out celexa side effects. The only problem is the side effects from the eneblex. Makes you feel weird, hot flashes, headache and indigestion. Supposed to go away in a couple of wks. Good thing is its working for the urinary thing. Doc was okay if I wanted to go down on meds, but I felt good on cit for so long, think ill hang in there a little longer. Tried to go down on my own, effects were not good. Thanks for your support.

Did you get tremors at first when you woke up at night? Just wondering. Did they go away?

Actually, had azo on board with enablex, azo didn't agree w me, now that its gone from my system per problem seems to be back, they say it takes 6 days to start really working, only on day 4. Please pray this will work!! Don't really want to go down on med. Want this to work!

Hi Nancy I get the internal shakes like tremors every morning when I wake up and not long after I take them before I go to bed. It soon goes when I am up and about. Have accepted them, I am unlucky my side effects have never gone away because am extremely sensitive to all meds.

You always have my support. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

I’m elated that it’s working and the other side effects will leave. We must be positive. I learned that from everyone on here when I was at my darkest hours. Did you figure out the private message. ??

      Have a good night 💤 .

Yes I had them in bed. I took Xanax low dose and it helped. They lasted about 3 months but off and on.

Enablex not working, going to go down on celexa. 7.5, then 5. Please pray for me. I'll have lorazapam on board , but it looks as though it's the only way to minimize the urinary frequency. Have you dropped to 7.5? What did you experience? A pharmacist told me to just go to 5. Tried it, felt really weird. Do you know anyone else who's gone through lowering their dose?

Thanks for your support, but enablex did not work. Have to go down on med. Suggestions?
    • Posted

Go to 7.5 for a few weeks and see how you feel. You and I are sensitive to these drugs. Let your body adjust. I’m saying a prayer for you tonight.

      Keep me posted.

I'm scared to death to go down on drug, just don't know what else to do. Did you go down to 7.5? How did you feel? Did you just cut your pills into quarters? I feel like once I take the plunge, I have to see it through no matter what

I have to stop this urinary thing. So scared. My husband says he would do anything to stop the pee thing. He's very brave. Waiting a few days to stabilize again after enablex and pyridium both made me feel real bad. Back on oxytrol patches again, they help somewhat. Thanks for your support, it means a lot.

Sorry your sensitive like the rest of us

Yrs ago I had no problem getting on this med. I was 9 yrs younger, makes a big difference. Hang in there and be positive like will says. And do a lot of praying. Prayers coming your way

Nancy you have to down your dosage to combat those yucky side effects that effect most of us on celexa..I for one had to decrease from twenty to ten because the side effects had me going insane I could not tolarate them ..and trust me i try.as soon I drop I did have some withdrawal side effects but nothing like the previous ones..

Can't use a nail cutter, do they make a 4 way pill cutter? How did you get exact?

    • Posted

If you take the nail clipper apart the tablet will fit between the blades and all you have to do is squeeze and they break ..I never seen a four way pill cutter ..I try the pill cutter but it was sketchy ..that's why I experimented with the large toe nail clippers..

Nancy I’ve never tried the nail clipper but it sounds great especially from an experienced person as Lois!
