Hello. I've been doing pretty great on Celexa. No panic episodes, anxiety everyday. Anyways, the only side effects that hit me when I first started were insomnia.
Now, I have some memory problems and just generally feeling "out of it". I just feel tired all day and sluggish. I sometimes get a little shaky too. This probably goes along with memory problems, but sometimes I have trouble saying sentences. I am on temporary lay off and go back to work in a few days...maybe that'll help get me out of my funk. I was only laid off for two months but still.
Anyone else have these side effects longer down the line while taking Cit? Thanks in advance.

Absolutely I did man. And going back to work will absolutely get you out of your funk. I remember texting my girlfriend at work 3-4 months in and telling her I was starting to feel weird again. That's how I remember feeling weird around the 3 month mark.

That's a relief, as weird as it sounds lol. I'm not feeling like my anxiety is returning, but yeah, just feel weird and out of it almost all day.

Hi darthgeorge...I was exactly the same as this BEFORE I started taking the citalopram... 😳😫these were bizzarely my symptoms that lead me to the meds! A confused head...constantly tired...I couldn't get my words out properly or I'd forget mid sentence what I was saying!! My memory was awful..I would literally not remember what I'd done in a morning come afternoon!! Then I started on cit...and over the space of literally a week I felt 'normal' again!! If I was you I'd go and discuss it with your gp...maybe your meds should be increased...I started on 10 and I'm now on 30 because every 2/3 months my symptoms came back!! I had no side effects at all when I started...or when my meds have been upped!! And I've now been on 30 since end of October 👍🏻 Just a thought flower...as when I asked why I was feeling like this...and why I instantly felt so much better on the meds...my gps reply was that my brain was starved of seratonin...hope you are feeling better soon x

Hi there,
Yes I still had these over three months into taking them an I'm only on 10mg, I started getting out and having a walk and that sorted it for a while but came back, I've since been to my doctor and I'm coming off them because of the side effects plus the anxiety came back, other side effects were the worst joint pain ever, hope that helps a bit
